Happy May! Lots of great things are going on here, including great news from our friends at The Alternate Route Magazine, who recently named me one of the “30 WOMEN BURNING UP THE BLUES” – a great list that includes many of my all-time favorites and idols as well as some friends – and then last week the Delta Swingers made their “TOP 20 BANDS IN BOSTON RIGHT NOW” – another great list, check it out! Thanks Alternate Route :)This week we have three diverse Boston-area happenings, but one's also worldwide... Saturday 5/11 we Swing the dancefloor at the good 'ole C-Note in Nantasket Beach/Hull, Sunday 5/12 we're on the radio co-hosting The Cheap Seats, and Monday 5/13 Rosy and I play an acoustic duo set at the Regent Theatre's Variety Show to Benefit the Krystle Campbell Foundation. Come on down to Nantasket Beach for a night of dancing! Special guest Sonny Jim Clifford will join us with his electrifying slide guitar! Gonna be a good time! 159 Nantasket Ave., Hull MA. 9pm, 21+, $8.Sun. 5/12: Co-hosting The Cheap Seats Radio Show  Sunday May 12th at 6pm tune in to WCIB 101.9FM (in Southeastern MA) as Jim and I guest DJ The Cheap Seats radio show with our friend and host Cat. The show features local New England music, and we'll be playing some of our picks – including a few Delta Swingers and Lovewhip tracks as well as some of our favorites from other local musicians! 2012 Boston Music Awards slideshow!  While I can say we never "expected" to win, we are very happy to be acknowledged by the Boston Music Awards, we have been working very hard this year, and 2012 has been a great year for us! Speaking of great things, Sunday December 16th is our Memphis Bound Fundraiser at Johnny D's, and we would love for you all to come celebrate our win with us (and help us get to Memphis at the same time!)
