In a genre that is often dominated by men, Erin Harpe is breaking new ground as a very accomplished female guitar player with a soulful voice and feel for the country blues. Playing acoustic delta blues music in the vein of Memphis Minnie and early Bonnie Raitt, Erin plays guitar and sings the blues like no other. Wherever she goes, Erin is winning over new audiences with her original and passionate take on the blues.

NY State Blues Festival Pics!

Erin's debut at the New York State Blues Festival last Sunday was well received, despite the rain. "Even with rain falling, hundreds of people are milling around the square, and many are bunched underneath tents watching Harpe's cool Delta blues style intently" (-Mark Bialczak, Listen Up Syracuse). Erin shared the stage with this year's huge lineup for the two-day festival including Jimmie Vaughan, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Toni Lynn Washington, and the Rebirth Brass Band. Here are a couple of pics:

We'll be uploading video from the show later this week.
