Saturday, December 4th at the Midway Café is our big hometown JP to Memphis Fundraising Party! It's going to be a ton of fun, and it will help us get to Memphis in February for the International Blues Challenge! And who knows, maybe you'll get lucky in the 50/50 raffle and come home with some cash! Also helping out the cause will be Notch Beer, a new beer company started by the folks who produced Tremont. Their new Notch Session Ale will debut at the Midway Saturday night, for only $4 – and they'll donate $1 of each sale to the Delta Swingers! Come on out and be benevolent by drinking beer!
The show will feature not only the Delta Swingers (w/ special guest Jim Chilson from the Ten Foot Polecats sitting in!), but also Lovewhip (Erin and Jim's other band you've been hearing about!), plus Boston's dance rock purveyors Streight Angular, all the way from NYC the Jake Zavracky, the gender bending musical comedy of Zayde Buti, an Xmas set by Sean Revoltah, go-go dancing, a late night DJ dance party, and more! 3496 Washington St. in JP, 21+, $10, 8pm-2am.
Sunday 12/5: The Boston Music Awards at the Liberty Hotel
Thank you so much if you voted for us in the Boston Music Awards! We are so excited to walk down the red carpet and find out if we won at the BMA's at the Liberty Hotel this Sunday, December 5th! The Delta Swingers and I will be performing with the other blues nominees (the Peter Parcek 3, Dwight & Nicole and Johnny A) just after the awards ceremony at 8:45 on the blues stage on the 4th floor. There will be about 25 other bands and performers playing throughout the hotel that evening including Mystery Roar, the Debo Band, Jenny Dee and the Delinquents, Dom, Kingsley Flood, Bow Thayer and the Perfect Trainwreck, and many more.
